Founded in 1998, BIBLIONET S.A. is the Greek bibliographic utility. Its mission is to act as the bibliographic data facilitator to the Greek publishing industry and its stakeholders. Its objective is the collection of bibliographic data on books published and sold in the Greek market (Greek Books In Print), and marketing of products and services derived therefrom, for the benefit of the book industry.

On an equity capital basis, BIBLIONET is supported by: The National Book Center of Greece, The Hellenic Federation of Publishers and Booksellers, The Publishers and Booksellers Society of Athens, The Association of Book Publishers.
